Envirox Protection Co. Pvt. Ltd Is a joint venture of M/s Sinomem Technology Limited, Singapore and M/s J. V. Gokal Group, India. The focus of the organization is to supply Membrane based filtration systems (Membrane Bioreactor & Other Modern Technology) to Sewage Treatment Plants and Effluent Treatment Plants and also to Pharmaceutical customers for special applications.

History and Background

• The company was founded in 1952 by the late Mr. Jagjivan Gokal who was a South African citizen.
• The company began its operations primarily in the tea business with trading in tea originating from India.
• Over the years, the company evolved into an active trading company in commodities like sugar, soybeans, pulses, rice and gold.
• The Group started with offices in Mumbai, Kolkatta and Kochi for tea trading, but soon began offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, Colombo, Moscow, Johannesburg, Kazakhstan, London and Nairobi.

• Tea: J V Gokal Group has more than five decades of experience in tea business & having transnational operations. Apart from being a leading tea exporter, we are a major Branded player and globally one of the leading players in Private labels of Tea bags & Packet Tea. Our five processing Packing plants – based in Kolkatta, Moscow, Almatty and Colombo – are state of the art facilities with extensive packing capacities. Our tea manufacturing units are located in India and Sri Lanka which has employed state of art technology and skilled manpower, which currently produces for Tetley, Nestle's and other companies. All our facilities are ISO and HACCP certified.
• Commodities: Besides tea, the J V Gokal Group is active in the global commodities businesses like sugar, tea, soybeans, rice and gold.
• Textiles: In the textiles business, the Group owns textile mills in Madurai and has garment export units at the same premises.
• The Group had an estimated turnover of USD 250 million in 2007.
